Keep lens wear out of game time
For suitable children and adults, Ortho-K can reduce reliance on glasses and contacts while playing sports. The lenses are worn overnight and removed before daytime activity.
Vision correction is not eye protection
Use protective sports eyewear when appropriate. Ortho-K does not protect an eye from a ball, elbow or other injury. Discuss the demands of your sport and whether backup correction is needed during adaptation.
Water and lenses do not mix
Do not swim or shower in Ortho-K lenses. Keep lenses and storage supplies away from water and follow the prescribed cleaning routine, including when traveling for games or summer camp.
A routine that can travel with you
Bring the right supplies, keep sleep and wearing schedules consistent, and plan follow-up visits. If travel changes your routine, we can help you plan ahead.
